Liddle Leaves Owls

3rd May, 2013

Baris NCEL Division One side Cleethorpes Town have parted company with their manager, Andy Liddle.

After an extremely successful and draining three years on the coast of the Humber, personal issues mean he is to step aside for a well deserved break.

Liddle has been a major part of the Owls' meteoric rise in recent times, transforming the first team squad and leading the club to silverware.

He guided the Owls to the Supplementary Cup in 2011, before completing a Sills & Betteridge Lincolnshire League title and Challenge Cup double in the 2012, going 42 matches unbeaten in the process.

Andy has also overseen a fantastic first season for the club in the NCEL, helping the Owls to the brink of promotion at the first attempt.

Chairman David Patterson said: "It's been an absolute pleasure to work with Andy over the past few seasons."

Vice Chairman David Mann added: "His commitment and desire for Cleethorpes Town Football Club to succeed was nothing short of amazing and we wish him best in his future endeavours."

The club have thanked Andy for all his hard work over the past two and a half seasons and wish him all the best for the future.

However, the Owls must now look to the future and attention must turn to next season's campaign.

Applications to fill the vacant role of first team manager at the club are now being invited, with interested parties asked to email chairman David Patterson at patto1965@live.com.

The closing date for applicants is Sunday 12th May.
