Louth Honour Coggle at Cup Match

28th March, 2013

Louth Town paid tribute to their former chairman and club founder Kerry Coggle at last night's Baris NCEL League Cup game.

The White Wolves have been in mourning since his sudden death earlier this month, at the age of 60.

An estate agent in Louth, Kerry was one of the people largely responsible for the formation of the Baris NCEL Division One club in May 2007 and, even though he had since stepped down as chairman, he continued to work tirelessly behind the scenes raising money for the club through sponsorship.

Ahead of last night's 2-0 home victory over Staveley Miners Welfare, relatives, friends and supporters did a lap of honour at Park Avenue in his memory whilst a photo/tribute album was handed over to his son-in-law, Martin Grant.

A club spokesman said at the time of Kerry's death: "He will be very much missed by everyone involved with the club, including committee members, management, players and supporters alike."
