There were varying fortunes for the Toolstation NCEL league leaders in midweek as North Ferriby lost in the Premier Division for the first time since October whilst Campion booked their place in a County Cup final.Oliver Donald netted an equaliser for Ferriby in their trip to Hallam after Nicolantonio Degrolamo had put their hosts ahead in the 14th minute in what was a highly entertaining encounter in front of a big midweek crowd of 511 at Sandygate.
Bradley Kerr scored what would proved to be the winner on the hour mark for the Countrymen in a 2-1 victory that moves Craig Denton's side up to seventh whilst the Villagers remain six points clear at the summit.
Emley AFC climb to third after a 3-2 home win over
Handsworth and the Pewits close the gap with the top two to eight points with a game in hand.
Iyrwah Gooden's opener was cancelled out by Joe Parkin on 32 minutes, Joe Clegg restored Emley's advantage in the second half and Alex Metcalfe added a third late on before Samuel Smith halved the Ambers' deficit as the match moved towards stoppage time.
A late double from Nathan Keightley, one from the penalty spot, earned
Penistone Church a 3-2 win at
Eccleshill United, Cameron Simpson with their opening goal whilst Fernando Moke and Kiari Ventura had netted for the Eagles.
Church stay fifth, a point behind Emley, whilst Eccleshill remain in fifteenth.

Bottesford Town almost claimed three vital points in their bid to move closer to safety but Henry Cook's injury time equaliser saw the home side
Barton Town claim a 2-2 draw.
Ryan King and Cliff Byrne scored for the Poachers who are now four points behind
Goole AFC who were beaten 2-0 at
Golcar United, a Kayle Price penalty and a Daniel Naidole strike claiming the win for the hosts who are eleventh.
Frickley Athletic have moved nine points away from Bottesford and the relegation trapdoor as a Lloyd Smith double, added to by a Samuel Bradley own goal, secured a 3-0 win at
Silsden AFC.
And, it was a point apiece between
Maltby Main and
Thackley, Jack Harrison's leveller for the hosts cancelling out Thomas Greaves' goal in the 1-1 draw.
In Division One, there were massive wins for
Parkgate,
Glasshoughton Welfare and
Nostell Miners Welfare in the race to avoid finishing in the relegation zone.
Parkgate climb out of the bottom three after a 6-0 home demolition of basement side
Athersley Recreation, Ross Duggan with a brace added to by one each for Brandon Whitfield, Taylor Nicholson, Liam Royles and Sam Thompson.
They are replaced below the dotted line by
Swallownest who were beaten 2-1 at home by third-placed
Harrogate Railway Athletic, William Monteiro with a late penalty after Luke Stewart and Daniel McDaid had sealed the points for the visitors.
There was better news for Glasshoughton and Nostell as they both put further daylight between themselves and the sides below them.
George Munashe Mwale grabbed the only goal of the game as Glasshoughton won 1-0 at home to
Selby Town to move five points clear.
They are a point behind Nostell who won 2-1 at fifth-placed

Meanwhile, Campion are through to the final of the West Riding County Cup as the Division One tabletoppers came from behind to beat Premier Division visitors
Albion Sports 3-1.
Robbie Fox's spot kick in the 50th minute for the Lions was cancelled out by another penalty by Nicky Boshell before Marcus Day and Aidan Kirby pounced to claim the victory.
Campion will face either Liversedge or Barnoldwick Town in the final in a bid to win the trophy for the first time.
