Silsden AFC, Staveley Miners Welfare and Wakefield AFC were the winners on a Saturday where only three Toolstation NCEL matches took place.

Freezing conditions meant that the vast majority of Premier Division and Division One fixtures could not go ahead but there was still plenty of entertainment in the games that survived the bad weather.

Silsden AFC consolidated fifth spot in the top flight with a 2-0 victory at seventh-placed Hemsworth Miners Welfare.

Samuel Bradley put the Cobbydalers ahead towards the end of the first half before Antony Brown sealed the win with his side's second eleven minutes from time.

In Division One, Wakefield AFC took the points in an enthralling match at the Millennium Stadium, edging out visitors Shirebrook Town in a seven-goal thriller.

Billy Mole and Lewis Stephens had given them a two-goal advantage by the interval but their Derbyshire opponents struck twice in quick succession at the start of the second period through Kenan McKenzie-Gray and Joshua Parfitt to draw level.

Jaydan Sandhu restored Wakefield's lead only for a Kiyani Clayton penalty to restore parity once again in the 73rd minute but the match was decided soon after by an own goal to make it 4-3 in the home side's favour.

And, Staveley Miners Welfare climb to sixth, two points away from the top five, after a 2-0 home win over basement visitors Glasshoughton Welfare.

Alexander Duhameau netted both goals for the Trojans, one in each half, to take the spoils at Inkersall Road whilst Welfare remain seven points away from safety.
