Emley AFC made to battle for a 4-3 home win over Division One visitors
Athersley Recreation.
Cole Patrick put the away side ahead but parity was restored by Samuel Pashley just before half-time.
Patrick's second had the Rec 2-1 up before Paul Walker and Pashley's second gave the hosting Pewits a 3-2 advantage, Lee Garside levelled things once again on 67 and Joe Jagger grabbed what proved to be the winner with twenty minutes remaining.
Golcar United also progressed, Slater Barham-Barnes with the only goal of the game midway through the first period in their 1-0 victory at
Hemsworth Miners Welfare.
Ross Duggan scored twice for
Parkgate but they could not cause an upset at home to
Handsworth as the away side went through 4-2, courtesy of goals from James Eyles, Rion Arbouin, Joe Parkin and Mitchell Dunne.
And,
Penistone Church came from two goals down to win 3-2 at home to
Eccleshill United, Boubacarr Sanyang's own goal added to by Maasai Dearlove and Brett Lovell in a ten-minute second-half period saw them through after Devonte Newman-Morton and Jack Crook had netted for the Eagles.
In the Premier Division,
Albion Sports have moved up to eighth after a 2-0 home victory over leaders
North Ferriby, Dominic Staunton and Hass Gorji with the goals that prevented the Villagers from opening up a six-point gap at the top of the table.
Callum Mawbey scored twice as
Dronfield Town won 3-2 at
Ollerton Town to climb up to seventh in Division One after Joe Pearson had opened the scoring for them whilst Jack Hollis-Smith grabbed both of the home side's goals.
And, Kane Reece's very early strike for
Armthorpe Welfare saw them claim a 1-0 win at
Shirebrook Town to lift them up into tenth spot.
Horbury Town produced the biggest upset in the County Cups as they won 5-2 at Pitching In Northern Premier League side Guiseley in the West Riding County Cup, Benjamin Agu with a hat-trick to add to earlier goals from James Cusworth and Samuel Kyeremeh.
But,
Silsden AFC were beaten in their First Round tie at Steeton, Ellis Hudson with their goal in a 3-1 defeat.
And, in an all-NCEL tie, Division One hosts
Wakefield AFC beat higher-ranked
Yorkshire Amateur 4-2 after trailing 2-0 at half time with Billy Mole and Owen Kirman settling the tie in the last ten minutes after a Daniel Hernandez brace had drawn them back level.
Craig Muirhead netted in stoppage time to grab a 1-0 home win for
Beverley Town at the expense of Cherry Burton in the East Riding Senior Cup First Round.
Adam Baskerville was the sole scorer in
Rossington Main victory over visitors Swinton Athletic in the First Round of the Sheffield & Hallamshire Senior Cup.
Staveley Miners Welfare, meanwhile, were knocked out of the Derbyshire Senior Cup at the opening stage as the away side Heanor Town won 4-0 with all of their goals coming in the second half.
