Third and fourth-placed
Emley AFC and
Eccleshill United dropped points with Emley playing out a goalless draw at home to
Garforth Town.
Eccleshill, meanwhile, were thrashed 6-0 at
Penistone Church who climb to fifth thanks to two goals from Jordan Coduri and one each from Kieran Ryan, Edward Newsome, Nathan Keightley and Brett Lovell.
Jason Davis struck twice for
Hemsworth Miners Welfare in a 3-0 victory at
Yorkshire Amateur with Andrew Horbury grabbing a late third to see them up into seventh whilst the Ammers remain rooted to the foot of the table.
Golcar United and
Maltby Main are now ninth and tenth, respectively, following home wins as a Kayle Price double added to by Leon Henry saw Golcar claim a 3-0 success over
Bottesford Town.
James Stafford struck an injury time winner for Maltby as they beat
Albion Sports 2-1 in a game that saw the visiting Lions almost rescue a point from a game where they had been reduced to ten men after twenty minutes due to a sending off for Callum Hill.
And, goals in the last quarter-of-an-hour from Anthony Mackie and James Eyles earned
Handsworth a 3-1 home victory over
Hallam that lifts them up into thirteenth.
Winterton Rangers' home clash with
Knaresborough Town, meanwhile, was postponed due to water supply issues at their ground.
The top two met in Division One and nobody could have predicted the outcome as leaders
Campion thrashed second-placed hosts
Horbury Town 7-0 in a real signal of intent.
Aidan Day and Patrick Sykes gave the Red & Blacks a 2-0 half time lead that was doubled by the hour mark through a Marcus Day brace.
Substitutes Aidan Kirby and then Ashley Flynn twice added to the tally in the last twenty minutes to give Campion a three point lead at the top of the table.
Rossington Main leapfrog Horbury into second following their 3-1 win at
Armthorpe Welfare, Ross Hannah netting twice with Declan Slater also scoring after Cian Guest had put the home side ahead.
Brigg Town won by the same scoreline at home to
Beverley Town, the Zebras now fourth as first half goals from Kevan Kahoussi, Martin Pembleton and Dayle Hutson secured the victory.
Daniel Thirkell and Daniel McDaid struck in a 2-1 home win for
Harrogate Railway Athletic as they came from behind to beat visitors
Athersley Recreation and they move up into fifth.
And, away victories for
Nostell Miners Welfare and
Glasshoughton Welfare will have eased some of the early-season pressure on them.
Joe Wood's penalty was added to by Nathan Hawkhead and Harvey Booth as Nostell prevailed 3-0 at
Selby Town to climb to thirteenth.
Meanwhile, Glasshoughton jump out of the bottom three as Ashley Bell's late penalty saw them claim a 2-1 win at
Shirebrook Town.
