North Ferriby and Campion are the leaders of the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division and Division One, respectively, after victories propelled them both to the summit.It was the first time this season that all forty NCEL clubs were involved in action on Saturday afternoon and it proved to be a day of high drama and plenty of goals.
Ferriby returned to the top of the Premier Division after Jamie Forrester and Danny Earl secured a 2-1 home win over
Hemsworth Miners Welfare who had equalised through Andrew Higgins.
The game at the Dransfield Stadium also saw the day's biggest crowd of 504, the highest in the Premier Division so far this season.
Eccleshill United also took advantage of a defeat for overnight leaders
Barton Town to climb up into second as Junayd Cassius-Gill netted the only goal of the game in the second minute at home to
Hallam.
Barton are now third following their 2-1 loss to visitors
Frickley Athletic who move into sixth thanks to an Alhassane Keita brace, the winner coming in the 88th minute, whilst Thomas Waudby got on the scoresheet for the Swans.
Winterton Rangers drop to fourth as they also tasted defeat, losing at home by a single goal to
Penistone Church who grabbed the points with an 87th minute strike from Nathan Keightley.
Emley AFC are fifth after the day's only draw in the Premier Division, Joe Jagger's penalty early in the second half for the Pewits cancelled out by hosts
Maltby Main's Aaron Sennett-Neilson in the 82nd minute.
James Burgess struck twice for
Garforth Town in their 3-2 home win over
Golcar United whose both goals were scored Kayle Price.
All five goals came in the opening 34 minutes as
Thackley defeated visitors
Silsden AFC by the same scoreline.
Bradley Riley and Luke Brooksbank twice gave the away side the lead only to be pegged back by Kristian Hargreaves and Amir Berchil with Thomas Greaves then claiming what proved to be the winner for the Dennyboys.
There were 2-0 victories for
Albion Sports and
Handsworth with Tabish Hussain and Awais Khan ensuring the win for Sports at home to
Goole AFC whilst Mitchell Dunne got both goals for Handsworth at
Bottesford Town.
And,
Knaresborough Town raced into a 3-0 lead at home to basement side
Yorkshire Amateur, Danny Edwards, Bradley Walker and Philip Milsom scoring in the opening half-hour before a second half consolation for the Ammers from Wilfred Frimpong.
In Division One, Campion were the biggest scorers of the day as the stormed to the top with a 7-1 thrashing of hosts
Selby Town.
Aidan Day and Patrick Sykes each scored twice whilst Marcus Day and Daniel Illingworth, along with an own goal, added to their tally with Ryan Gothard grabbing the Robins' solitary strike.
Rossington Main are up to second after Adam Baskerville, Ross Hannah and Bradley Grayson made sure of a 3-0 home victory over
Swallownest with all of the goals coming in the first half.
Horbury Town's month-long stay at the summit was ended as they were beaten 2-1 at
Brigg Town as the hosts produced a stunning fightback.
Fraser Papprill and Alfie Usher scored in the last five minutes for the Zebras after Gibril Bojang's penalty had given Horbury the lead in first half stoppage time.
Cory Woodward, Jayden Sandhu and Mason Ruble all netted in a fifteen minute period around the hour mark as
Wakefield AFC move up to fourth with a 3-0 victory at
Dronfield Town who drop to sixth.
Retford FC remain fifth with a 1-1 draw at
Beverley Town, Alexander Knaggs' own goal giving them an early lead that was cancelled out before half time by Samuel Calvert.
There were home wins for
Nostell Miners Welfare and
Ollerton Town with Brett Smith and Joe Wood scoring in Nostell's 2-0 victory over
Staveley Miners Welfare.
Substitute Jack Hollis-Smith netted the winner for Ollerton as they beat
Armthorpe Welfare 2-1 after Adam Scott had broken the deadlock for the home side and Jamie Austin restored parity.
Ashley Grayson got the only goal of the game as
Shirebrook Town defeated hosts
Parkgate whilst a Jonas Ndombasi brace helped
Glasshoughton Welfare to a 3-1 win at
Athersley Recreation.
And, it was a point apiece for
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic and visitors
Harrogate Railway Athletic, Josh Brown's equaliser coming for the hosts after Joseph Crosby had put the Rail ahead towards the end of the opening period.
