The Toolstation NCEL's last two clubs left standing in this season's Emirates FA Cup both sadly bowed out at the First Round Qualifying stage on Saturday.But,
Goole AFC and
Penistone Church both ran their higher ranked opponents close with single goal defeats against Pitching In Northern Premier League sides.
Goole were beaten 1-0 at home by Prescot Cables whilst Ryan Johnson gave Church a 22nd minute lead at Shildon but their hosts rallied to win the game 2-1.
Elsewhere, in the league, Premier Division leaders
North Ferriby were denied a fifth straight win as hosts
Garforth Town grabbed an injury time equaliser for a 1-1 draw.
Niall Tisley netted the opener for the Villagers who were looking to continue their perfect start of the season but Luis da Silva ensured the spoils were shared with the hosting Miners.
Eccleshill United are up to second and level on points at the summit after a Matthew Sykes brace and a Devonte Newman-Morton stoppage time third secured the Eagles a 3-1 victory at

The Swans move up to third above

Yorkshire Amateur have moved off the bottom of the table after a dramatic 3-2 victory at
Frickley Athletic, Alfie Wilkinson with an injury-time winner for the visitors.
Maltby Main are now the team in the basement after their 6-2 loss at

Division One leaders
Horbury Town's advantage at the top of the table has been cut to two points after their 3-2 home loss to
Armthorpe Welfare.
Horbury were 2-0 down by the hour mark, courtesy of goals from Cian Guest and Jamie Austin, and had seemingly salvaged a draw through Joe Penn and Gibril Bojang.
But, Austin's second came in stoppage time to give the visitors the victory that lifts them to sixteenth.
Campion are second after their 2-0 home win over
Wakefield AFC on Friday night, Marcus Day and Patrick Sykes settling the encounter in the opening half hour.
Wins for
Rossington Main,
Dronfield Town and
Retford FC narrowed the gap between the top five and Horbury.
Adam Baskerville netted twice for Main in a 3-2 home victory over
Glasshoughton Welfare whilst Connor Chapell scored the only goal of the game as Dronfield beat visitors
Worsbrough Bridge Athletic.
Retford, meanwhile, defeated
Selby Town 3-1 at the Rail Ground, William Tomlinson and Kyle Simpson with second half strikes after the tie was level at the interval.
Michael Morris' 89th minute header grabbed
Harrogate Railway Athletic a 1-0 victory at
Nostell Miners Welfare whilst Joshua Devereux and Fabian Johnson got on the scoresheet for
Shirebrook Town as they won 2-0 at neighbours
Ollerton Town.
And, there were 3-1 home wins for both
Athersley Recreation and
Brigg Town with Jamie Moxon scoring twice for the Rec against basement side
Parkgate.
Meanwhile, Joshua Batty and Dayle Hutson pounced in the final ten minutes to claim the win for Brigg over
Staveley Miners Welfare.
