Baris NCEL Match Review #62
28th March, 2013
Louth Town have become the first side to make it through to the Semi-Finals of the Baris NCEL League Cup in a midweek fixture schedule that was, once again, disrupted by bad weather.
Their 2-0 home win over Staveley Miners Welfare was one of five matches to survive the cold snap, Matt Kennedy and Andrew Willoughby with the goals in quick succession midway through the first period.
In the Premier Division, Lincoln Moorlands Railway's relegation fears continue after their 3-0 defeat at the hands of visitors Nostell Miners Welfare.
Warren Redford broke the deadlock in first half stoppage time before Graham Marchant and Barry Rothera made sure of the victory by the fifth minute of the second half.
Railway remain in nineteenth spot but have played more games than the three sides below them in the table.
Tadcaster Albion strengthened their grip on fifth spot with a 5-2 home victory against Long Eaton United.
They were 3-2 up by the interval and second half strikes from Terry Taylor and Callum Ward confirmed the three points.
Cleethorpes Town have climbed up into the top five of Division One following their 2-1 win against Selby Town.
Liam Dickens and Johnathan Oglesby got their goals in a three minute spell around the hour mark before Daniel Gray got a late consolation for the Robins.
And, Eccleshill United were 3-1 winners at Rossington Main, Marcus Edwards getting two of their goals to move the Eagles up into thirteenth spot.
