Baris NCEL Match Review #61
24th March, 2013
Scarborough Athletic have returned to the top of the Baris NCEL Premier Division after their home match with Tadcaster Albion was the only game to survive heavy snow on Saturday.
The Seadogs have moved above Brighouse Town and are two points clear with six games to play.
But, Rudy Funk's side took a while to get going in the encounter at the Neil Hudgell Law Stadium with Tadcaster enjoying the better of the first period but they could not turn their advantage into goals.
They were punished when Scarborough upped their game in the second period when Patrick Miller broke the deadlock on 73 minutes and top scorer Ryan Blott made sure of the victory in injury time.
All the rest of the day's games were called off and will now be played on Saturday 4th May after it was announced that the league season is to be extended by a week following the worst winter in recent years.
