Bridlington Town's title challenge took a blow on Saturday as Brighouse Town and Scarborough Athletic both won to extend the gap at the top of the Baris NCEL Premier Division table.
Brighouse remain the pacesetters, ahead of Scarborough by a point, after their 2-0 win at Staveley Miners Welfare.
Ryan Hall gave them the lead halfway through the first period before Nick Jagger doubled their advantage immediately after the interval.
Scarborough came from behind to win 2-1 at home to local rivals Pickering Town after Joe Danby had given the Pikes a 40th minute lead.
Matthew Plummer and Tony Hackworth struck in the second half as Rudy Funk's side made it nineteen league games without defeat.
Bridlington are now eight points away from top spot in third after they failed to score for the first time in any match this season, losing 1-0 at Tadcaster Albion.
Stuart Rice grabbed the winner on 73 minutes to strengthen Tadcaster's grip on fifth place.
Worksop Parramore stay five points clear of the Brewers in fourth after their 4-3 home win over Long Eaton United, Shaun Rickford's brace for the visitors not enough to take anything from the game for his side.
Lincoln Moorlands Railway have moved out of the bottom two after a double from Steven John in the last quarter of the match saw them win 3-1 at home to fellow strugglers, Winterton Rangers.
Bottom side Arnold Town dramatically came from behind to beat visitors Glasshoughton Welfare, 3-2, with goals in the last five minutes from Mick Leslie and Simon Wilkinson.
And, Retford United found themselves two goals up within the opening three minutes but hosts Armthorpe Welfare rallied and won the game, 3-2, with Brett Lucas, who had scored the Badgers' opener, putting through his own net on 76 minutes for what proved to be the winner.
Only three matches in Division One survived heavy overnight rain with leaders Athersley Recreation needing an injury time winner to beat visitors Teversal, 2-1, Ryan White with the vital strike.
Shirebrook Town are up into second, seven points off the top, after a 1-0 home victory over ten-man Hallam, Tom Mullen with the goal towards the end of the first half.
And, AFC Emley have climbed into sixth spot after Steve Kenworthy's hat-trick helped them to a 7-1 win at home to Rossington Main.
