Baris NCEL Match Review #45
27th January, 2013
Brighouse Town took part in the first match involving a Baris NCEL team in a fortnight but there was disappointment as they were knocked out of the FA Carlsberg Vase on the Isle of Wight.
The Premier Division side were dominant for 75 minutes in their Fourth Round clash at Newport and were leading through a first half goal from Ernest Boafo.
But, the hosts suddenly sprung into life in the last quarter-of-an-hour with Tom McInnes striking twice in ninety seconds to turn the tie on its head and win it 2-1.
The league's hopes now rest on AFC Emley who have a chance of making it into the last sixteen when they host Hadfield United next Saturday after their match was called off this weekend due to snow.
And, the bad weather also meant that all of the league's Premier Division and Division One games were postponed.
