The top four sides in the Baris NCEL Premier Division scored 21 goals between them on Saturday as the league begins to take shape.
Worksop Parramore netted the most with a 7-0 home win against Glasshoughton Welfare to keep them a point ahead of Scarborough Athletic and Bridlington Town and five ahead of Brighouse Town.
The match was all but over by the break with five of the goals coming in the opening period with two each from Lee Holmes and Matty Thorpe whilst Lee Whittington added the fifth.
After the interval, Paul Sykes got their sixth before Whittington scored the seventh, his eighteenth in all competitions this season.
Tom Adams and Tony Hackworth claimed a brace each in Scarborough's 4-0 victory over visitors Heanor Town whilst Bridlington went to bottom side Lincoln Moorlands Railway and came away with a 5-0 triumph.
Carl Stewart, Chris Batchelor and Tom Lee had them three up by half-time before Nathan Cook and a second from Stewart completed an eighth straight win for the Seasiders.
Tom Matthews struck a nine minute second half hat-trick as Brighouse defeated hosts Armthorpe Welfare, 5-2.
Barton Town Old Boys climbed up into fifth as first half strikes from Ashley Lattimore, Declan Marshall and Richard Medcalf gave them a 3-0 scoreline at home to Nostell Miners Welfare.
They went above Parkgate who went down 3-2 at Hall Road Rangers although they almost staged a late comeback.
Craig Suddaby's opener was added to before the hour mark by a Johnny Slater brace for Rangers before Todd Jordan's penalty and Jacob Walters-Lang brought the visitors to within a goal of their hosts.
Thackley and Long Eaton United were both victorious to remain seventh and eighth, respectively.
John Mallinson's 74th-minute goal earned Thackley a 1-0 home win over Pickering Town whilst Long Eaton beat hosts Liversedge 2-1 with strikes in the opening period from Blaine Hancock and Shaun Rickford.
Winterton Rangers remain in the bottom two ahead of Lincoln Moorlands as a Ryan Damms hat-trick condemned them to a 3-0 defeat at Staveley Miners Welfare.
Taylor Bjorn ensured Arnold Town a 1-0 home win against defending champions Retford United whilst Tadcaster Albion were 3-2 victors at Maltby Main, Chris Kamara with the dramatic winner in injury time.
It was stalemate as the top two sides in Division One met at Sheerien Park, Athersley Recreation still two points ahead of Clipstone Welfare after the goalless draw.
Third-placed Louth Town could not take full advantage, though, as they were held to a 2-2 draw at home by Hallam.
A Luke Mascall brace helped Cleethorpes Town to a 3-2 win over visitors Rossington Main to close the gap in fourth and Teversal are up to fifth after a Kye Pilmore hat-trick secured their 5-2 victory at Askern Villa.
Pontefract Collieries complete the top six after Michael Staley and Brenton Leister's goals in a 2-0 win at home to Dinnington Town and Worsbrough Bridge Athletic are up to seventh with their fifth consecutive victory, a dramatic 4-3 defeat of hosts Hemsworth Miners Welfare.
Shirebrook Town are up to eighth after Jack Barnett's brace in their 2-1 win against Yorkshire Amateur at Langwith Road whilst bottom side Appleby Frodingham picked up their first success of the season.
Nathan Holtby struck as the game went into stoppage time as they won 1-0 at fellow strugglers Selby Town.
Grimsby Borough were 2-1 victors at AFC Emley whilst the spoils were shared in a 1-1 draw between Bottesford Town and Knaresborough Town.
