Baris NCEL 2012/13 Match Review #10

6th September, 2012

Parkgate's 4-0 victory at Pickering Town in midweek has made them the new leaders of the Baris NCEL Premier Division.

All the goals came in the second half, starting with a Todd Jordan penalty on 54 minutes, and the visitors' lead was quickly doubed through Nathan Forbes-Swindells.

Brian Cusworth and Keir Hannity struck in the last quarter-of-an-hour to make sure of the win.

Parkgate go above Worksop Parramore who were beaten 3-0 at home by Brighouse Town, who have climbed up into fourth spot after their victory.

Danny Nadiole opened the scoring in the opening minute and Tom Matthews made it 2-0 midway through the first half.

Matthews then added his second and Brighouse's third from the spot with twenty minutes remaining.

Third-placed Scarborough Athletic came from behind to pick up a point in a 2-2 draw at home to Armthorpe Welfare.

James Bennett had given the Seadogs a first-half lead but Callum Smith and Callum Green both struck early in the second period to put the visitors ahead.

Ryan Blott made sure the spoils were shared with his equaliser for Scarborough on 64 minutes.

Goals from Elliot King and Shaun Rickford made it a 2-0 home victory over Winterton Rangers for Long Eaton United who are fifth and Richard Medcalf's 62nd minute penalty gave Barton Town Old Boys a 2-1 win over visitors Arnold Town to move them up into sixth.

Retford United are seventh after they drew 1-1 at Liversedge, Bobby Johnson levelling for the Badgers after Chris Wood opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half.

And, Bridlington Town complete the top eight after two goals each from Craig Hogg and Josh Greening helped to give them a 5-1 win at Nostell Miners Welfare.

There was more misery for bottom side Lincoln Moorlands Railway as they went down 6-0 at Hall Road Rangers whilst a Nathan Benger double helped Heanor Town to a 4-1 home win over Tadcaster Albion.

Kingsley Wetherald's 85th minute winner secured three points for Glasshoughton Welfare in a 2-1 victory at Maltby Main.

Louth Town have climbed into second spot in Division One, one point behind leaders Athersley Recreation, after a Danny Kilmore brace ensured a 2-1 win at home to Cleethorpes Town.

Brenton Leister's 26th minute strike gave Pontefract Collieries a single-goal victory at home to Worsbrough Bridge Athletic to move the Colls into third.

Hemsworth Miners Welfare beat visitors Yorkshire Amateur 3-0, courtesy of a Jack Wakefield hat-trick whilst Grimsby Borough were 4-2 winners at Eccleshill United and Rossington Main defeated hosts Shirebrook Town, 1-0.
