Clubs Asked About Possible NCEL Reserve and U19 Leagues
29th September, 2012
The Baris Northern Counties East Football League is asking its member clubs for their views about plans to introduce Reserve and Under-19s Leagues under the NCEL banner.
It follows an encouraging meeting held at Worsbrough Bridge Athletic FC earlier this month in which the clubs present expressed a desire to go ahead with the plan.
It's proposed that the Reserves League would be played on Saturday afternoons and would probably consist of one division and limited to NCEL teams, depending on numbers.
The U19s League would have games played during midweek and, again, would most likely consist of one division involving member clubs.
The plans would ensure regular high quality football on good standard pitches and would help to make player development and retention easier for our member clubs.
It would also give match officials more opportunities to develop further.
All member clubs have been sent a letter detailing the plans and are being urged to reply as soon as possible as to whether they would be interested in placing a team in either or both leagues.
