More details released about FA Cup and FA Vase

3rd August, 2020

The FA have released confirmation of round dates and teams accepted into the Emirates FA Cup and Buildbase FA Vase for the 2020/21 season.

The FA Cup will begin with the Extra Preliminary Round on Tuesday 1st September, 2020, and will be the first match of the season for the participating Toolstation NCEL clubs as the earliest proposed starting date for the league is Saturday 5th September, 2020.

The Preliminary Round will then take place on Saturday 12th September, 2020, and First Round Qualifying follows on Tuesday 22nd September, 2020.

There will be no replays in the Preliminary or Qualifying stages of the competition this season to help ease pressure on the football schedule.

All twenty of our Premier Division clubs will be involved in the FA Cup whilst the Division One sides drawn at random to be accepted are Campion, Glasshoughton Welfare and Hall Road Rangers.

The draw for the early rounds of the FA Cup will be made on Tuesday 18th August, 2020.

The FA Vase, meanwhile, will commence with First Round Qualifying on Saturday 19th September, 2020, and the competition will include all twenty Toolstation NCEL Premier Division sides and nineteen of the twenty Division One teams with East Hull the only ones not listed as accepted by the FA.

A date for the draw for the early rounds of the FA Vase has yet to be announced.
