Armthorpe start search for new boss
25th October, 2020
Armthorpe Welfare are now welcoming applications for the position of first team manager following the resignation of Mike Carmody and his assistant Alan Jackson in midweek.
The Marra Falcons Stadium side released the following job advertisement on Saturday night:
Our first team plays at Step 6 of the FA National League System in Toolstation NCEL Division One, whilst also competing in the FA Vase.
We are a community club having recently added an under 18’s team for this current season along with our adult development team which is now in its second season.
We have aspirations to grow the club further as a community club and the new first team manager will be expected to work with the development and under 18’s management with player progression wherever possible.
The new manager will have the short term target of stabilising our position in the league and improving results this season, with a longer term aim of a return to the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division and qualification for the FA Cup.
To do this, the manager will be allowed to recruit their own assistant/coaching staff as they see fit, and will be expected to work with the current playing squad (with allowance to recruit further players where needed) and work within the current travelling expenses budget. More detail will be discussed with those candidates invited for interview.
We are inviting applications from potential candidates who have the following:
* Step 6 or above management experience (ESSENTIAL)
* FA Coaching Badge Level 2 or above (DESIRABLE)
* Further FA Qualifications (Coaching/Fitness/Safeguarding/DBS/First Aid etc.) (DESIRABLE)
* Good working knowledge of the NCEL (DESIRABLE)
* Knowledge of local football and player contacts (DESIRABLE)
To apply, please send a written expression of interest (no more than 500 words) to armthorpe.welfare@hotmail.co.uk explaining your reason for applying and what you can offer, together with a Football CV detailing your previous playing and management experience, relevant work experience that demonstrates appropriate inter-personal skills, relevant footballing qualifications and at least two references from previous clubs.
The deadline for applications will be Saturday 31st October, 2020, at 5pm. Candidates selected for interview will be notified by email by Saturday 7th November, 2020.
Unfortunately, due to the volume of applications, individual feedback for unsuccessful applicants cannot be provided.
