National acclaim for North Ferriby shirt
7th October, 2020
The 2020/21 away shirt of Toolstation NCEL Division One side North Ferriby is to be displayed at the National Football Museum in Manchester.
This comes as the museum are refreshing their exhibitions and will be publishing their Top 25 English club kits for 2020/21.
It will be in an exhibition called 'STRIP: How Football Got Shirty' and they have asked for the club shirt to be featured.
The exhibition will run until next year with all the exhibition changes to be announced before the school half-term holidays now that the Museum is back open.
This is the second accolade the North Ferriby away shirt has received in a short space of time when it was voted the best non-league kit for 2020/21 by the Footy.com website. The club have been awarded a trophy for this and the shirt will now be on display nationally.
"It is great for the club to receive national recognition and to have our fantastic away shirt on display and be placed in the top 25 English kits," said the Villagers' press officer Mark Chestney.
"I was surprised to receive the email inviting us to send a shirt over for this next exhibition at the National Football Museum. Getting an acclaim like this is fantastic as was being awarded the best shirt in non-league football earlier in the year.
"It goes to show how much continued progression we have made at the club and how people are taking notice of not only how we play but what shirts we wear.
"Once it is on display, it will be great to go and see it on display with the other shirts on a national stage."
