Carmichael is New Moorlands Boss

18th May, 2012

After an extensive search and consideration of a number of quality applicants for the post, Lincoln Moorlands Railway have unveiled their new manager.

Secretary Graham Peck is delighted that former Lincoln City striker Matt Carmichael has agreed to take up the reigns with immediate effect, saying: "We are indeed fortunate that we had number of excellent applications and we had to sift CVs and it came down to Matt and one other who were interviewed.

"Matt really impressed us with his enthusiasm for the job, his desire to play football as it should be played on the ground and to develop young players within the club already along with other youngsters who want to come here.

"Matt is local so he knows the football scene and wants Moorlands to be the second club in the city and to get the fans flooding back through the door."

Carmichael is 48 years old and recently was employed by Lincoln City but has left due to budget constraints.
