Championship side Barnsley are the visitors to Bracken Edge this afternoon to face Yorkshire Amateur in their latest pre-season friendly.

After having to pull out at short notice last pre-season, the Tykes have honoured their promise to play a game this summer.

Yorkshire Amateur Chairlady Jeni French said: "We are really pleased that Barnsley have confirmed with us for pre-season as it was a huge disappointment when they were unable to come last year.

"But, they are a club of their word and we appreciate that greatly.

"Yorkshire Amateur have had a great season and are looking to better it, so a game against Barnsley before the season starts is fantastic."

The game will kick off at 2pm at Bracken Edge.
