Teversal Go for Buckland Duo
8th June, 2009
A breath of fresh air will be blown at Teversal FC this coming season with the arrival of the new Public Relations and Marketing duo, Richard and Paul Buckland.
Richard has a vast knowledge of the business world in both marketing and public relations, previously working with some of the world's largest blue chip companies as a consultant in his field.
He is also a successful celebrity photographer and designer with a plethora of qualifications under his belt.
Paul is a very much hands on kind of guy with a vast knowledge of the beautiful game and with a good knowledge of the world of sales and marketing.
"Affordable and effective advertising is what local businesses need in the Ashfield and Mansfield areas," states Richard.
"Far too many companies out there use negative advertising as a way of trying to sell a product or service.
"Businesses seem to constantly remind their potential customers that we are in a recession by advertising CREDIT CRUNCHING PRICES.
"This is a negative approach as businesses are reminding people that they can't afford to buy their products because times are hard."
Richard and Paul aim to change the face of advertising and sponsorship for businesses with Teversal Football Club and demonstrate that positive advertising and sponsorship will have a much better response from existing and potential customers.
Kev Newton, the club's Football Secretary, stated: "We have been looking to fill this type of post for many years, we are delighted to acquired their services.
"Both Richard and Paul have ideas far beyond what we have aimed for before and bring a fresh challenge to all at the club. We wish them all the very best and we give them our full support."
Businesses who would like to benefit from the exceptional sponsorship and positive advertising opportunities at Teversal FC are asked to contact Richard on 07595 990112 or email: richard.buckland@teversalfc.co.uk or paul.buckland@teversalfc.co.uk.

Thompson Is New Teveral Manager
29th July, 2008
Teversal Football Club has moved swiftly to appoint a new Manager after the resignation of Stace Leaper due to personal reasons over the weekend.
The Tevie Committee would like to go on record to thank Leaper who had held the top seat for last season.
The club finished tenth in Northern Counties East League Division One and were Wilkinson Sword Trophy runners-up, making it the club's best ever finish in the National League system.
With the season due to start within two weeks, the Teversal Committee felt that it was important to have continuity and find a replacement to continue the year-on-year improvements the club has made over a number of years.
With that in mind, the club are proud to announce that Paul Thompson will move from Reserve Team Manager to be at the helm.
Thompson has done an excellent apprenticeship within the club, having been Reserve Team Manager for the past eight years.
And, he's been a very important part of the club's rise and has earned the opportunity to have a shot at leading the club's senior football section.
The playing squad have been informed of the changes and now full focus will return on getting the first team ready for the opening game at home to new boys Brighouse Town.
