Parkgate Announce Pre-Season Training

Parkgate will start their pre-season training next Tuesday.

That session and then one every Thursday will begin at 7pm at Green Lane, Rawmarsh.

Anyone interested in playing for the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division outfit are asked to contact the manager, Sean Hutchinson, on 07768 711477.

Players from previous seasons are most welcome.

Parkgate Welcome Back Race

Following Darren Bonnington's resignation, Parkgate have moved quickly to find a new Assistant Manager.

He stepped down after Saturday's 4-2 win at home to Maltby Main.

Manager Sean Hutchinson has appointed Wilf Race as his replacement.

Wilf previously managed at Parkgate and Maltby Main and his last club was Assistant Manager at Hallam FC.

Parkgate say that he's been brought in as he will be a good asset to the Premier Division side's management team.

Parkgate Fundraiser This Weekend

Parkgate FC will entertain Mel Sterland's All Stars at Green Lane in a day of fun and entertainment this Sunday.

The All Stars will include the following players:

Kevin Pressman (Ex-Sheffield Wednesday)
David Pugh (Ex-Chesterfield)
Andu Kowalski (Ex-Chesterfield)
Ian Straw (Ex-Southampton)
Lawrie Madden (Ex-Sheffield Wednesday)
Chris Turner (Ex-Sheffield Wednesday)
Mel Sterland (Ex-Sheffield Wednesday)
Gordon Simmonite (Ex-Sheffield Wednesday)
Chris Waddle (Ex-Sheffield Wednesday)
Imre Varadi (Ex-Sheffield United)

Also on display will be the FA Cup, European Cup and the Claret Jug.

The match kicks off at 11am.

Parkgate In Physio Search

Due to the retirement of John Eagle as Physio at Parkgate FC after many years of service, the club are looking for someone to fill the role on matchdays.

The Steelman say the role would suit a student on a Physio course for work experience.
