Robins Pre-Season Starts on Saturday

Selby Town are commencing preparations for the 2012/13 season on Saturday (23rd) at 12pm at the Rigid Stadium.

This will be the Robins first pre-season training session and all players, new and old, are welcome to attend as they look at players for all their senior teams.

This will be the first time for many players to meet the new management team of Phil Jones and Nigel Emery as they get ready for the Baris NCEL Division One campaign.

The club will be going straight into pre-season friendlies the following week, Saturday 30th June, against DMS at the Rigid Stadium.

This will be the first of a number of friendlies as the new season starts in earnest.

The games then come thick and fast as the Robins look forward to their first league encounter on August 4th.

They have a number of games in the pipe line and details will follow shortly when the schedule is finished.

But, the club can confirm that a Grimsby Town XI will be coming to the Rigid Stadium on Saturday 14th July.

Then, newly promoted Bradford Park Avenue will be bringing a strong team to Selby on Tuesday 31st July and the Robins will play Goole AFC on Saturday 28th July.

The club are also holding a sponsors day on Saturday 21st June when a Selby XI will take on a Doosan XI, again at the Rigid Stadium.
