Hallam FC have announced that Ronnie Akers has been appointed as Team Manager for the rest of the season.

It follows the recent departure from Sandygate of Darren Bland.

Akers returned as part of the management team earlier this season and also has vast experience in both Unibond League and NCEL football at clubs like Stocksbridge Park Steels, Frickley Athletic, Denaby Utd and Maltby Main.

And, he spent last season at NCEL Division One Champions Dinnington Town.

Akers, who had been in temporary charge since the departure of the previous manager, will shortly announce his own backroom staff.

The Club, who had almost thiry applications for the position, would like to place on record their thanks to everyone who applied.
