Brodsworth Handed Double Boost
15th July, 2008
Brodsworth Welfare have been a given a major boost on two fronts as they prepare for the new Premier Division season.
They have re-signed 95% of last year's finishing squad including Jamie Allen, Craig Williamson, Joshua Wright, David Jones and Liam Wilkin.
This is despite attempts from a number of clubs higher in the pyramid to tempt the players away.
Other encouraging news at Welfare is the amount of trialists the management have been considering during close season.
A club spokesman commented: "The number of trialists on show pre-season has been extremely encouraging.
"The level of ability the new lads have shown is particularly pleasing and allows us to add strength and depth to the overall squad.
"Former Brigg, Bridlington, Goole and Retford players have all been on show."
