Louth Boss to Step Down
27th April, 2012
Louth Town manager Paul Walden has informed the club's chairman Eddie Clark that he will be retiring from football at the end of the season.
Paul has been managing football teams for more than twenty years and said it was the right time for him to step down as he would like to spend more time with his family.
This means his last game will be the home fixture against Rossington Main tomorrow.
Mr Clark said in a statement: "Louth Town would like to take this opportunity to thank Paul for all his hard work over the last 5 years winning the Central Midlands League Premier Division in 2008/2009, Supreme Division in 2009/2010 and the Floodlit Cup in 2010 and leading us this year to the 1st qualifying round of the FA Cup.
"So, from the Chairman, committee, players and fans, I would like to wish the Gaffer all the best for the future."
Louth Town have begun their search for a new manager. CVs can be sent to the club's chairman at steadyclark1@aol.com.
