Teversal have achieved the first part of the club's aim of becoming a fully F.A. Charter Standard Club by being award the status for its adult section. The fact that the club is members of the Baris Northern Counties East Football League that has become the first National League System Step Six League to gain the F.A. Charter Standard League status means that all clubs in membership must attain the Club Charter Standard by September this year, hence the need for Teversal to go through their process in two stages.
Football Secretary and Charted Standard Coordinator Kevin Newton stated he was delighted to receive the certificate and plaque (pictured right) from the Football Association along with a letter of confirmation from Mick Baikie, the Football Associations National Clubs Services Manager.
Mr Baikie congratulated the club's volunteers and formally recognises the club as one that is committed to raising standards throughout the grassroots football and ensuring that it's well organised, managed and committed to providing a positive experience for all players, coaches and volunteers.
In addition to the above comments Mick Baikie goes on to say: "The FA is very proud of the FA Charter Standard Programme and we appreciate the work and commitment required to achieve the accreditation and for this we are extremely grateful."
Kevin Newton confirmed that the club are now committed to maintaining the status and expanding it to incorporate the whole of the youth section, which will see him, Volunteer Coordinator Mitch Wilson, Child Welfare Officer Yvonne Moore, Youth Director Keith Parnill and Finance Director Chris Slack working very closely with all the coaches and volunteers involved with the running of the twelve youth teams to gather all the relevant documents and qualifications to allow another positive application to be submitted.
