Bland is New Parramore Boss

24th August, 2011

Worksop Parramore chairman Pete Whitehead has announced the appointment of Darren Bland as the new manager of the Baris NCEL Division One club.

Bland, pictured below, joins Parramore as the preferred applicant and Pete would like to thank the many applicants that were unsuccessful during the recruitment process.

He has a good knowledge and experience at this level with Maltby Main Hallam and Staveley, where he won the Wilkinson Sword Trophy.

He also has experience as assistant manager at Worksop Town in the EvoStik League and worked for Sheffield United with the academy.

He also has many footballing qualifications that add to his experience.

A club statement said: "On behalf of everyone at Worksop Parramore Football Club, we offer a warm welcome to Darren who will be relishing this opportunity with a club that has ambition and the backing to move as high up the football pyramid as possible.

"And under Darren we believe we have a manager who is capable of delivering long term success to match those ambitions."
