Break-In at Teversal

18th July, 2011

Teversal saw their joy at hosting a very successful pre-season tournament dampened by a break-in at their ground at the weekend.

The Baris NCEL Division One side held the competition, sponsored by Sabre Sports & Premier Trophies, that saw eight clubs take part with nine games played over twelve days, culminating in Baris NCEL Premier Division Parkgate being crowned as champions on Saturday.

But, as the Carnarvon Street club was reflecting on the tournament, they were dealt a severe blow.

Their Tevie Bar and Hospitality Suite was broken into on Saturday night/Sunday morning, causing approximately ?5,000 worth of damage along with the club's TV being stolen.

The robbery has taken the gloss of the important aims of the club in providing football to the community, something that the tournament had achieved greatly over the fortnight.

The Tevie boys will now pick themselves up from the disappointment of the robbery and hopefully will not allow this to disrupt the service they try to offer to the community despite setbacks of this nature.
