Commercial Manager Needed at Armthorpe

18th April, 2012

Armthorpe Welfare are searching for a new Commercial Manager.

This is a role where the suitable person will be dedicated to raising funds for the club mainly through sponsorship, but may also use initiative to create other means of raising money for the club.

The club currently offer various sponsorship packages such as match day programme adverts, advertising boards, website sponsorship, kit sponsorship, match ball sponsors and main club sponsor.

You should be comfortable approaching local businesses to sell these packages.

Armthorpe Welfare are an amateur football club who compete in the Baris Northern Counties East Football League Premier Division which is a league at Step 5 in the Football Association's national pyramid system.

It is an FA affiliated league and holds a good national reputation. We also compete in the FA Cup, FA Vase and West Riding FA County Cup.

It should not be underestimated how extremely important support from local business is for a football club at this level.

Without this support, our club would not be in existence, and as Commercial Manager you can be sure you are playing a valuable role in the running of the club.

As Commercial Manager you would be accepted onto the club committee and expected to attend monthly meetings.

Furthermore, it would be beneficial if you could attend home matches, particularly when a match day sponsor is attending so that you can greet them and build relationships.

It would be expected that you can commit to the position for the full 2012/13 season and hopefully beyond.

If you have any questions or are interested in the role then email the club in the first instance expressing your interest, and to request an application form. Alternatively, you can write to:

Armthorpe Welfare FC, C/O Martin Turner, 100 Harris Road, Armthorpe, Doncaster DN3 2FE.

Or call Martin on 07775 797013 (leave a voicemail if necessary).

Interested candidates are advised to apply as soon as possible as candidates will be shortlisted for interview as soon as enough applications are received.
