Moorlands Appeal To Youngsters

5th September, 2006

Lincoln Moorlands have announced a new scheme to attract young people to the ground.

The club has agreed that all youngsters under the age of 14 will be admitted free on match days who are accompanied by a full paying adult.

Secretary Graham Peck said: "Although we have had only two games at home, we are encouraged that there are more supporters coming through the gate and is showing a 10% increase in attendances at those two games.

"We hope that what is happening at the club is attractive for people to come and watch - we are scoring goals and most importantly of all we have only been beaten once in five competitive games.

"The success of a team is not only players but also getting supporters to come and cheer the players on and create a good atmosphere.

"We hope to write to the local schools as well as we want them involved at Moorlands.

"Children are the lifeblood of local football and not everyone can afford Lincoln City.

"Our maximum entrance charge is just ?3 plus ?1 for a good programme so we provide excellent value for money."
