Moorlands Say Farewell To Lund

22nd August, 2006

This weekend will mark the departure of possibly one of the best players that Lincoln Moorlands have recruited in recent years.

The Club will be saying "goodbye" to wing back Rob Lund on his departure to a football coaching job in America.

He'll be there for at least the next eighteen months, having completed his University training in Lincoln.

Secretary Graham Peck says on the club's website: "Former Manager John Priestley brought Lund to the Club some 18 months ago and has proved to be a huge find.

"Lund has pace and a great left foot that not only created goals but also when playing forward he could score them.

"A very quiet unassuming lad he will be hard to replace in footballing terms.

"The club though would like to put on record our good wishes to Rob in his new career and thanks for his hard work and dedication to Moorlands Football Club, who will be retaining his registration should he return to these shores."
