Borrowash Victoria have paid tribute to manager Mark Wilson following a dramatic turnaround in the club's fortunes.

Wilson took over the reins in November with the club in the bottom three of the Division One table.

Since the turn of the year, however, the Vics have only lost one match out of thirteen and that was away to the league champions Parkgate.

Secretary Ian Collins said: "There has been a big vote of thanks from the club to Mark Wilson who, in his first management position, has turned the club's performances around with his enthusiasm effort and commitment plus his management skills.

"The players have also responded well and a position in the bottom two and re-election has been avoided and, hopefully, a push for promotion could be on the cards next season."
