South Normanton Athletic's management duo this morning clinched the signing of former Sheffield United, Ilkeston Town and Shepshed Dynamo midfielder Joel Hodgkinson.

Joint Manager Mark Harvey said: "We have been monitoring Joel's progress for sometime now and we welcome him to the squad at Lees Lane.

"We know that he will be an asset to team's push for Promotion to the NCEL Premier League. Joel is the type of player we need."

Out of Lees Lane this week went Keiron Saxton who has joined Borrowash Victoria after an unhappy time with the Club.

Keiron has recently been on 'loan' with Graham Street Prims in the Central Midlands League contributing significantly and scoring a number of goals for them.

Harvey said: "We are sorry to lose Keiron but he has been unable to gain a regular place in our team and he is a player that needs to be playing first team football.

"I wish him the best of luck with Borrowash."
