New NCEL outfit Dinnington Town have made their first major signing when Mark O'Brien accepted the position as Chairman.

He's Chief Executive of SAMANN Environmental, a licence waste disposal transfer station at Kiveton Park.

Club Secretary Chris Dearns said: "Mark was our unsung hero last season, helping the Club by providing much needed materials and equipment for the NCEL ground grading improvements.

"He is the ideal man for the role, a successful local business man with many contacts which should give our club excellent opportunities to encourage further sponsorshipas we look forward to the challenges in the NCEL."

Mark O'Brien added: "The decision to join the Club was made easy for me.

"I have seen the hard work the Club has put in over the last four years with their success on the pitch and by totally transforming the facilities.

"But, what swayed me most was the work that has been done in the Community by the formation of the junior sections and the disabled coaching, this was something much needed in Dinnington.

"They are a Club I will be proud to be part of and I hope I can help them achieve what they deserve."
