Retford Summer Shopping Continues

Retford United have shored up their defence with the signing of 6'4" defender Karl Colley from Stocksbridge Park Steels.
Born in Sheffield, Colley started his career with Sheffield United playing for the reserves before signing for Premiership Newcastle United.
He returned south to play full time for Kettering and was a regular in the Hucknall Town Unibond winning side, which gained promotion to the Conference North in 2003/04.
At Barrow FC, he received the Star Player of the Year Award, before joining Stocksbridge last season after a trial spell at Grimsby Town.
Manager Mark Shaw sees Colley as a collossus in the Badgers defence with this much proven young 22-year-old as the Badgers prepare for life in a higher division.
