Maltby Main's lead at the top of the Premier Division has been cut to one point after Saturday's action.

They were held to a 1-all draw at Arnold Town, Andrew Haskins equalising in first-half injury time to cancel out a Scott Somerville strike.

Sheffield are now just behind them in second place after a 2-1 win at Glapwell.

They had to come behind after an Ian Brown opener for the Hall Corner team on the half-hour mark.

But, goals from Peter Davey and Gavin Smith in the first ten minutes of the second period saw the visitors take the points.

Selby Town and Liversedge took advantage of Pickering Town's 3-1 home defeat to Carlton Town to move above them in the table.

Selby are third after a 2-0 win at Mickleover Sports whilst Liversedge were 3-2 home winners over Thackley.

All five goals came in an action-packed second half with Richard Marshall putting Sedge ahead in the opening seconds.

Andy Howland equalised soon after before Gareth Carney restored the host's lead within seconds.

Marshall made it three on 62 minutes and Danny Backhouse grabbed a consolation as the game went into injury time.

Thackley remain in eighteenth place ahead of Brodsworth Welfare and Shirebrook Town who both suffered heavy away defeats and both were reduced to nine men.

Welfare were the biggest losers, 8-1 at Retford United who move up to sixth in the table.

Peter Duffield scored a sixth-minute penalty for the hosts before Rob Burton and Mick Godber made it 3-0 within the opening fourteen minutes.

Neil Harvey, another from Duffield and a Ben Chambers strike made it six-of-the-best for the Badgers before half-time, Welfare's sole reply was Mike Wibberley's 39th-minute goal.

In the second-half, Godber grabbed a second and Will Tomlinson added the eighth for Retford with nine minutes remaining.

Shirebrook were beaten 5-0 at Garforth Town leaving the basement side with no goals scored in their last six league games whilst Garforth moved up to twelfth with the victory.

Just behind them are Long Eaton United who took all three points at Hallam thanks to David Wilkinson's late strike.

The other two Premier Division fixtures were 1-1 draws as Sutton Town were held at Armthorpe Welfare and Glasshoughton Welfare were denied victory at home to Eccleshill United thanks to a late Chris Rosindale penalty.

Parkgate still lead Division One after another convincing victory, this time a 4-1 win at one of their promotion rivals Worsbrough Bridge.

Brian Cusworth scored two to take his tally for the season to seventeen whilst Matt Outram and Ryan Johnson also contributed to make it an easy afternoon for the visitors.

But, they are being closely followed by the still-unbeaten Winterton Rangers who are two points behind them in second but with two games in hand.

They took all three points in a seven-goal thriller at Lincoln Moorlands.

Nick Robinson had put the home side ahead after 17 minutes but, by the break, Rangers were in front through goals from Danny Clarke and Steve Underwood.

Craig Bridge levelled matters on 54 minutes before Winterton regained the lead almost immediately through David Ricardo.

Moorlands came back again as a Steve Robinson own goal made it 3-3 with half-an-hour remaining but Rob Northen grabbed the vital strike three minutes later.

Nostell Miners Welfare remain third after a 2-1 home win over Dinnington Town whilst two goals from new striker Ady Francis helped Gedling Town into fourth with a 3-1 victory over visitors Yorkshire Amateur.

AFC Emley remain bottom as they did not have a game but there was a big encounter between the two sides above them at the Robinson Construction Bowl.

And it was Borrowash Victoria who came out of it smiling with a 2-0 home win thanks to goals from Karl Reynolds and Simon Leatherland.

They move up one place to fourteenth with that win.

Biggest winners were South Normanton Athletic who thumped Pontefract Collieries 6-0 at Lees Lane with two goals from Simon Johnson.

Goals from Kevin Mabon and James Parkinson, a Joe Atkinson penalty and a late strike from Valadmir Santos Farrell completed the rout.

Athletic are now eighth just behind Staveley Miners Welfare who also had a big home win, 5-2 to Tadcaster Albion, a brace for both Matthew Ellis and Wesley Pierce helping them to victory.

And, Rhys Pindar and Jamie Barnwell got the goals for Hall Road Rangers in a 2-0 win over their visitors Teversal.
