Sheffield and Liversedge have moved into the top four of the Premier Division following victories in midweek.

Sheffield leapfrog over Pickering Town who they beat 4-2 at Mill Lane.

The visitors were four up after just 28 minutes.

Chris White opened the scoring on six minutes before Vill Powell doubled their advantage soon after.

White grabbed his second, this time from the penalty spot, before Andrew Brownrigg completed the excellent start for Dave McCarthy's side.

The Pikes showed some resistance and pulled two goals back, both from Mark Swales.

But, Sheffield ran out winners in a match that was played on their 149th birthday.

The perfect present means they are now third in the Premier Division, three points behind leaders Maltby Main but with two games in hand.

Just behind them on goal difference in fourth place are Liversedge who thumped Brodsworth Welfare 5-1.

Gareth Hamlet opened the scoring for Sedge before Ryan Carmody levelled matters on the half-hour.

However, after that it was all the home team as Danny Lowe converted a penalty to give them the half-time lead.

Wayne Crossley and a Gareth Carney brace ensured the points in the second period.

Welfare remain eighteenth and have now not won in eleven matches after they had been victorious in their opening two games of the season.

In Division One, both Worsbrough Bridge and Lincoln Moorlands move up a place after a 2-2 draw at Park Road.

But, Bridge will be disappointed having led 2-0 with just over half-an-hour to go.

Lee Garside and Craig Wilkinson had seemingly put them on the way to three points.

However, goals from Rick Ranshaw and Mark Foster in a five-minute period around the hour mark, led to the spoils being shared.
