NCEL Bank Holiday Preview

8th April, 2007

There is no rest for the Premier Division as a full programme of matches takes place this Bank Holiday Monday and, by 4.45pm, there could be new leaders.

Current top side Sheffield, who have not won in three matches, are at home to Armthorpe Welfare knowing that defeat could see them fall from first position for the first time in a long time.

But, Retford United must pick up maximum points at a constantly improving Shirebrook Town if they are to take full advantage of any slip-up.

In the chase for promotion places, third-placed Carlton Town are at home to Glasshoughton Welfare in a noon kick-off.

The remaining three top-six sides are all away from home as Garforth Town are at Thackley, Selby Town travel to Sutton Town and Glapwell go to Eccleshill United.

Maltby Main entertain Hallam at Muglet Lane in another game that begins at midday.

And, Long Eaton United entertain Liversedge whilst Pickering Town go to Arnold Town.
