Wood Steps Down As Pikes Boss
29th August, 2010
KoolSport NCEL Premier Division side Pickering Town have parted company with their manager.
Mark Wood tendered his resignation this weekend, ending his three-and-a-half year spell in charge of the club.
The Pikes say it was with regret that they had to announce his departure with immediate effect and they will be appointing a new manager in the very near future.
Wood's resignation comes after Saturday's 4-0 defeat at Nostell Miners Welfare.
That made it one win and five losses so far for the Mill Lane side in all competitions this season.
