Barton Secure Grimsby Friendly
31st July, 2010
Barton Town Old Boys have secured another high profile friendly when Grimsby Town come to The Euronics Ground on Wednesday.
It comes after Thursday night's entertaining and successful friendly with near-neighbours, Hull City, in which a superbly-struck Richard Medcalf goal cancelled out Mark Cullen's opener for the Tigers.
Grimsby's first team manager, Neil Woods, was at the game and afterwards he approached the club about the possibility of a friendly.
Despite the league opener against Teversal being just days away, the Swans were delighted to oblige.
The Mariners boss has promised to bring a strong squad for what promises to be another great night.
The game kicks off at 7.30pm.
