Yorkshire Amateur will welcome The Yorkshire Regiment back from their tour of duty in Basra tonight.

They will play a match at Bracken Edge, kick-off 7.30pm, against a team from the Regiment with the proceeds from the gate and other fundraising activities going to the 'Help for Heroes' Charity.

This is part of a week of celebrations by the Yorkshire Regiment to mark their homecoming and they have invited some of the Ammers' young guns to attend their training camp on Saturday.

A club spokesperson said: "Come along and show your support for these guys who after returning from Iraq have now found out they will be heading out to Afghanistan in six months time!"
