Farsley To Have Family Fun Day

30th August, 2010

Farsley AFC are to officially celebrate their launch with a Family Fun Day at one of their games next month.

Chairman John Palmer has revealed that their home KoolSport NCEL Premier Division match with Selby Town on Saturday 11th September will be extra special.

He said: "We are arranging for a bouncy castle and an inflatable obstacle course whilst there will be some competitions for the kids and the BBQ will be on the go.

"We are hoping to attract families to the event so that they can watch the game as well as keep the kids entertained."

Entertainment will start at 1pm with the event planned to continue into the evening with a disco in the function room.

Palmer hopes that the local community will support the launch in numbers, saying: "We are keen to make it plain that all are welcome at Throstle Nest."

Tickets for the event will be priced at ?15 for a family, with complimentary food included in the price.

Usual matchday fees will apply to the game for supporters wishing just to watch the game.
