26th June, 2009
Long Eaton United have announced that Andy Worrall will be taking over the post of joint manager.
He will be joining from Ilkeston Town where he has been reserve team manager and general coach.
He replaces Glyn Stacey who left the club stating he wished to have a go at management in his own right elsewhere.
The club can also announce that skipper Micky Allsop has had his ankle operation and hopes to return to action sometime in October.
The clubs other long term casualty, influential midfielder Martin Bowles is still awaiting an op on a bunion.
But, he has stated he feels fit enough to train next week and so hopes to make himself available for the opening games of the season.
