Caretaker role for Adams at Emley

2nd January, 2019

AFC Emley's management committee will meet next Tuesday (8th) to discuss the next step in appointing a new boss after Joe Howson left by mutual consent on New Year's Day.

In the meantime, coach Marlon Adams will be in charge on a caretaker basis, overseeing training this week before managing the team at their Toolstation NCEL Division One match at Hallam on Saturday.

He will be joined in the dugout by former boss Darren Hepworth who will be his head coach.

The club say a further update on the managerial situation will be announced following the committee's meeting as the Pewits, who are currently in fifteenth spot in the table and are seven points above the relegation zone, look to put more daylight between themselves and the bottom two.
