New Manager at Bottesford
10th June, 2011
Bottesford Town unveiled Dave Andrews as their new manager at their recent end-of-season presentation event.
It comes after former manager Ian Whyte made the following statement: "I am disappointed to be stepping down as first team manager but my new role with the Sheffield United Football Club academy makes it impossible to give the job the commitment required to take the club forward.
"I like to think that the progress made during this transitional season has laid the foundations for future success and I thank everyone for the support I received during this time."
Whyte joined the club at the beginning of last season and assisted in establishing their Youth Development programme.
On behalf of the club, chairman Tony Reeve thanked him for his efforts and wished him well in his future endeavours.
Andrews is no stranger to Birch Park having previously served at Bottesford as assistant to Raz Clayton and now returns after a very successful period at Brigg Town who narrowly missed out on promotion last season.
Local player John Corbett continues in his role as assistant and coach.
