New Boss at Glasshoughton
23rd July, 2010
After interviewing a short list of five candidates, Glasshoughton Welfare have appointed Craig Elliott as manager at Leeds Road.
The club say that all the candidates interviewed extremely well and Craig took it by a very short neck.
Although having a relatively short managerial career, Craig has enjoyed success albeit on a local level but Welfare are supremely confident that he will continue that success at Leeds Road.
A former player at Glasshoughton, Craig went on to play at Hatfield Main, Harrogate Town, Guiseley, Farsley Celtic, Stocksbridge Park Steels and Football League club Doncaster Rovers before retiring to go in to coaching and obtaining his UEFA 'B' coach (level 3) pass.
Craig brings as his right hand man another former Glasshoughton player, Paul Mattison, who had a number of years as a professional at Darlington.
