Glasshoughton Welfare are on the search for a new manager after Stuart Waddington suddenly tendered his resignation.

A statement from the KoolSport NCEL Premier Division side said: "Glasshoughton Welfare would like it to go on record their thanks to Stuart for pulling the club round from what at one time appeared an hopeless situation, and wish him all the very best for the future.

"Welfare are now actively looking for a swift replacement for the commencement of the new season.

All of Glasshoughton Welfare's pre-season friendlies, starting with tomorrow's home clash with Liversedge, have been postponed until the appointment of a new manager.
