Two More Coaches For Villa
11th June, 2010
Askern Villa boss Brian Johnston has added another two coaches to join the ambitious KoolSport NCEL Division One side.
He has recruited the vastly experienced Neil Brandon, the former manager of Harworth Colliery, Bentley Victoria, Brodsworth Welfare and Bridlington Town.
Brian said: "I'm delighted to get Neil involved the club. He lives locally and has great knowledge of football, especially at this level, and his advice will be much appreciated."
Neil also scouted for Doncaster Rovers in the days when Dave Penney was manager. He has also been the Assistant Manager at Frickley Athletic.
Also joining the coaching staff will be Les Johnston, no relation to Brian.
He has great knowledge of local football, having managed local clubs for quite a few years in the area.
Player-coaches Mark Vickerage, Lee Wilkinson and Liam Scully will continue to be involved in the coaching staff.
Mark is now the Assistant Manager and Brian Johnston feels he is a great asset to the club and one day he will become a top manager.
