Staveley's Sponsorship Boost
6th June, 2010
The main sponsors of Staveley Miners Welfare have confirmed that they have agreed a two-year funding package for the club.
Whilst the current economic and financial climate is a testing time for most companies and especially those in construction like Baris Group Ltd, as it is testing times for non-league clubs also, Baris' current trading patterns and future large order book has allowed its shareholders and directors to agree to the deal.
A statement said: "Despite the testing economy, we felt that we needed to provide a solid platform from which everyone associated with the club from managers, players and the like, can have a degree of certainty and where they can see that the plan is not just about this season but seasons ahead.
"Hence, Baris' commitment to the club will continue with an enhanced financial sponsorship deal which has been assisted by the company's large supply chain providing financial sponsorship.
"The sponsorship deal will allow the club to develop both on and off the field with on-going first class training facilities, free transportation to away games and also further spectator improvements as well as Baris-sponsored new kits and tracksuits.
"We have also confirmed that, should the club get promoted this season into the NCEL Premier, they may proceed to arrange pre-season friendlies in Holland or a neighbouring country for a week prior to the 2011/2012 season.
"We remain committed to providing opportunities for all levels of players at the club, especially for the local youngsters.
"Equally, our charity work will continue this season and we are also discussing possible Non-League and junior football sponsorship with varying official parties in an attempt to support grass roots football."
